Skydrops is a sustainable water company based in Qatar that produces atmospheric water by harvesting the humidity in the air. They then deliver it in sustainable packaging, and return to pick up, sanitize and refill their reusable bottles.

Skydrops was purpose-built to meet the sustainability goals of Qatar's National Vision 2030. They do so by bringing sustainable solutions to two key challenges - water scarcity and waste management. Skydrops was founded in 2022 by a retired female U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and combat veteran.

We believe every country can achieve water independence, while protecting people’s health and preserving the environment.

Skydrops is a sustainable water company based in Qatar. Skydrops creates atmospheric water from the humidity in the air, packages it in glass, premium aluminium, stainless steel, and 100% biodegradable, plant-based PLA bottles, and delivers it to clients in the hospitality industry. They then return to pick up, sanitize and refill their reusable bottles.

Skydrops was purpose-built to meet the sustainability goals of Qatar's National Vision 2030. They do so by bringing sustainable solutions to two pressing challenges - water scarcity and waste management. They harvest water from the air in their Doha water plant, using patented U.S. technology, with a near-zero carbon footprint and no environmental impact.

Skydrops believes that recycling is not enough. Their eco-friendly packaging offers a solution to the waste management challenge of single-use plastic and glass water bottling.

Skydrops operates in the Qatar Free Zone and was founded in 2022 by a retired female U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and combat veteran.

Rhana Kurdi is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Military Intelligence Officer and Combat Veteran. During her 22 years of service she gained extensive global experience in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe where she served in operational and strategic positions.

Lieutenant Colonel Kurdi graduated from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. In 2020, she was appointed Executive Director of LaunchLKN, a startup incubator in Charlotte, North Carolina. She recently moved to Qatar from the U.S., after having lived in over 20 countries.
